    Radius
    Vendor agnostic (RFC286x)

When a router is unable to find a known route in the routing table, how does it handle the packet?

    a) it sends the packet to the next hop address
    b) it sends the packet to the gateway of last resort
    c) it discards the packet
    d) it sends the packet over the route with the best metric

It says correct answer is B, what do you think people? I think answer should be C.

    September 25th, 2017

    @never let me down again
This question was always being debate in the forums.
But finally the answer is B. it sends the packet to the gateway of last resort. it is Module 3.Routing technologies concept asper the CCNA exam topic. And 100% sure. Ans should be B.
When you search in the Google you can find the answer from the link of Cisco community it explain step-by-step but finally they confused little bit in answer.

Guys where I can find pkt(Packet Tracer) files with all labs?

  17. wioch
    September 25th, 2017

    Passed exam.
    I had
    – ACL Sim 2 (allow host D to FWS www, deny core and hosts A-D other access to FWS, allow everyone to access public www (another ip)): access-list 101 permit tcp host D host FWS eq80; access-list 101 deny tcp 192.168.0.0 0.0.255.255 host FWS; access-list 101 permit ip any any; router# int eth ; ip access-group 101 out
why out ? because hosts from core lan
    – dhcp sim
    – one dnd… some new one… to arrange in order creation of gre tunnel; 4 steps; options were: create tunnel interface, add source and desc on tunnel int; specify crypto proto; specify carrier proto; specify passenger proto; create point-to-point link between tunnel source and desc
    – new question that I remember…. some diffrence in traffic between cdpv1 and cdpv2
    – rest… from dumps

  18. hmizo
    September 25th, 2017

    congrats wioch
    what dump did you use

  19. wioch
    September 25th, 2017

@hmizo: yours 83q in pdf, yours 75q that was converted to vce, Chinese 18.09.2017 and v27

  20. hmizo
    September 25th, 2017

how many question get from 75q

  21. hmizo
    September 25th, 2017

did you get full mark in LAB

  22. Will Smith
    September 25th, 2017

@hmizo access-list 101 deny tcp 192.168.0.0 0.0.255.255 host FWS… can this command be replaced by access-list 101 ip any any?

  23. wioch
    September 25th, 2017

@hmizo: sorry… cannot tell exactly, I’m using different computer on which I have only old 62q. But from the 62q pdf: 1,2,4,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,17,18,20,23,24,31,33,34,35,46,51,53
Full mark at lab… ? No idea. I have the print-out from exam, but it doesn’t say anything about lab. I think I got lab correct, otherwise I would fail.

Anyway… I need rest now… I had 12h long car journey and body is requiring some sleep.

@will smith… I used such rule because I was told to block both lan and core lan. Lan was coming as fast ethernet, core lan was from serial interface… both connected to the router. Both lan’s first two octets were 192.168, so wild card of 0.0.255.255 seemed good. And I had to make it in three acl rules… where one of them is permit ip any any.

  26. Will Smith
    September 25th, 2017

@wioch got it! But the core lan and the lan and the same octet or network band?

  27. hmizo
    September 25th, 2017

will smith , i dont know but it recomended to use permit ip any any , becoz there is a implicite deny , so the others pings betwwen PC1 … and the core failed

  28. wioch
    September 25th, 2017

    @hmizo… there were 4 steps.
And I was wondering WFT is passenger proto. I was configuring gre tunnels… but it was limited to creation of tunnel itself, providing tunnel’s ip, source and dest… and done.

  29. Will Smith
    September 25th, 2017

I saw a lab of the Chinese that when it informs Ian and core they put ip any any to relate the two networks! just a question to know when to use the two options,

  30. hmizo
    September 25th, 2017

so what options did you get , you are putting 5 steps ?

  31. Will I am
    September 25th, 2017

@hmizo and wioch: truth! it’s a deny … to traveling … forget it!

  32. wioch
    September 25th, 2017

@hmizo: there were 4 steps, and 6 or 7 options to choose from.
